The women of TriBella/Mile High Multisport will be led by three time Ironman Qualifier, mother of two and 28 years of experience in the sport, Kathy Alfino. She is a multiple USAT triathlon All American, has qualified for the world championships at every distance and holds the age group record at Ironman Coeur d’Alene. However, we all know that accomplishments don’t make you a good coach and leader. Over the years, Kathy has inspired women from all backgrounds and abilities to become involved in triathlons and will serves as an outstanding role model and inspiration to all. Kathy holds degrees in Micro Biology, Nursing along with a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation. She is a certified USAT coach and has coached individuals from beginners to Ironman since 2004. Kathy, who works full time as a sales representative, will reduce her hours to part-time in 2011 so she can lead the women of MHM.
Kathy believes that women are capable of balancing both family and hobby successfully. The sport of triathlon builds self esteem while providing tremendous health benefits. Whether you are looking to complete your first triathlon or improve your skills, she is looking forward to sharing with you her vast knowledge and personal experiences.
