How You Train Makes the DifferenceTM
Athlete Testimonials
"Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your help getting me ready for this season and the race. I couldn’t have done it without you!"

"As a 6 year veteran, competitive triathlete, I thought I could either train myself or follow my friends' workouts. After a couple of months, the anxiety I experienced from being unsure if I was doing the proper workouts became too stressful. After talking to various members of Denver's tri-scene, Pete was recommended to me by a good friend. After never doing a half, running a marathon or even running ten miles, I finished my first Ironman in Penticton and did well (2nd place in the Athena Division). My training was pivotal; however, the mental preparation and nutrition advice provided by Pete was invaluable. In addition, training with Mile High Multisport is just "do-able," there's no other way to describe it. I worked really hard, but I never felt like it completely took over my life. I enjoyed training every day (well almost) and both Pete and Kathy were there to help me through the days when I thought I couldn't. It was a fabulous experience."

"I came to Pete as a runner, never having swam over 200 meters or biked more than 5 miles. While it's not his practice to train a complete newbie for an Ironman, Pete took me on and led me thru a very successful first year. Pete proved that he has an in-depth understanding of the sport of triathlon and the psychology of coaching. Coming from someone that has to deal with significant demands (leading a business, a family life with two children, travel, etc), Pete's coaching and friendship was invaluable during my quest to become an Ironman. Pete designed a plan that was demanding yet maximized my training hours to allow me to meet MY goals. Entering my second triathlon season, I am staying on with Pete and going after more aggressive times and multiple Ironmans in the same season. I have recommended Pete to family and close friends and am making a high personal investment in him everyday."

"My first triathlon was at age 40 plus, 10 months after completing Chemotherapy and Radiation for breast cancer. I raced sprint distance triathlons for 4 seasons on my own without a plan. I had some good results but knew I could do better. I contacted Kathy Alfino and started her coaching program in June of 2005. I met with Kathy in person and we discussed my races and goals for the season. It is so great to log in to my training plan every morning and go do it without the "what do I feel like doing today" self talk. Every workout has a purpose. Kathy took me out of my comfort zone. My first race on the same course as last year was over 3 minutes faster. Then my next race was 6 minutes faster than last year. My third race I placed 3rd in my age group and qualified for Nationals for 2006. I am also not as wiped out after a race as I used to be thanks to those Saturday swim-bike-runs. Next year maybe an Olympic Distance!! Kathy does what it takes to get you to the next level plus she is a truly great person!"

"Pete really helped me with the mental side of training. He came to Penticton, Canada from Denver, Colorado to see his athletes do the race! He is unbelievable. If you want to get a coach to help you with your athletic endeavors, I wholeheartedly recommend Pete. He got me and Marion into great shape."
