Hi Jonathan
Thanks for your report
I found it encouraging as I am a first time IMSA candidate, after having not competed for 15 years now. I am now 61 yrs of age!
I did 4 Leppin IM with canoeing as my forte before RSA was in the international scheme of things
I have had to learn to swim big time!
I am doing the Half IM is EL this weekend
I merely aim for experience, and to finish in one piece with no injuries and not to kill myself
God bless
Allan Verreynne
Port Elizabeth
allan@storehouse.co.za

I saw Kathy at the Cresecent moon. I did my best so far on a sprint tri 1 hr 39 min. not bad for me considering I got stung by a bee on the chest on the bike ride! then at that start of the run my right calf was hurting a bit. But nothing bad enought to make me think of stopping! Crescent moon a nice event for us beginners. Did a 5K today that I did last year in Lakewood and pulled my time down about 4 min YAHOO considering the tri I did yesterday. Now time to rest a little. I will run through the winter and move indoors for core training and get stronger.

Pete- Thanks for the help in training, the support when I needed it most, and the encouragement to see this dream through. I couldn't have asked for anything more. -Jon
