How You Train Makes the DifferenceTM
About Coach Sydney
Sydney Cornell has been passionate about running for years. It wasn’t until she was dared by her cycling instructor 4 years ago did she think about ever doing a triathlon. She completed her first sprint triathlon and placed 6th in her age group and has been addicted and passionate about the sport ever since. Since this time, Coach Sydney has competed in every distance and consistently placed in the top 3 of her age group. In 2009, she placed 19th in the 35-39 Age Group at the Ironman World Championships. This was her first Ironman. She qualified at the Buffalo Springs 70.3 with a 1st place age group and 3rd place overall female. Coach Sydney was also a USAT ranked All American for 2008.
Triathlon has empowered Coach Sydney in all facets of her life and she wants to pass along the experience along with her knowledge to others. Sydney wants others to feel the same reward and successes that she does. Her goal is to assist athletes in fulfilling their athletic goals while maintaining balance in their family and personal lives.
Sydney is a mother of two, a wife, a Personal Trainer, a cycling instructor and a USAT Level One Certified Triathlon Coach. Sydney has learned to balance triathlon and family and does admit that at times "life is a challenge being stretched in so many different directions and having high athletic standards," but she does it with great pride and passion.
Sydney’s goal as your coach is to prepare a training plan which meets your personal goals and ambitions. Along the way she will share with you her knowledge with regards to nutrition, hydration, and making you stronger in all disciplines while balancing triathlon with the rest of your life.
