Triathlon Coaching and Training Plans
About Coach Max
Max Spradley first got involved in endurance sports when he ran cross country and track in high school. While attending the University of Colorado Boulder he competed in many local road races (5Ks and 10Ks). After graduation, and several successful running seasons, he decided he wanted a new challenge and moved up to marathons. Max has since completed more than 10 marathons including Boston, Chicago, New York and CIM and has a 2:48 PR.
Desiring another challenge, Max moved over to triathlon and applied many of the same endurance training principles he learned in running toward the three (3) disciplines (swim, bike and run). He felt he had a successful transition (pun somewhat intended) when he became an Honorable Mention All American triathlete.
Max continues to race, but what is life without more challenges? So he has pursued coaching. This allows Max to live his passion for endurance sports as well as learn new things: about himself, other athletes and the sport. Max has coached himself as well as friends & family to various PRs and new levels of fitness over the past few years and has obtained his USAT Level I Coaching Certification.
As your coach, Max wants to share his knowledge and experience to help you meet your athletic goals, challenge yourself, and take your training and racing to the Max! ;-)
