Rachel Gerlach is the owner of NutritionWorks, a holistic nutrition therapy practice that specializes in sports performance.
A lifelong athlete, Rachel has competed in several triathlons, 11 marathons and countless half marathons, as well as trail racing and cycling events. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse, where she had the opportunity to work with the college football team on sports performance as well as teach yoga and nutrition at the local YMCA. She also played rugby, where she truly learned how to naturally heal her body from injuries.
After several years working in sales, Rachel came to the clear realization that her heart is in healing others. She earned her Certification in Nutrition Therapy (CNT) from the Nutrition Therapy Institute, where she continues to take Master’s-level classes in nutrition as well as herbal therapy. She will sit soon for her NASM personal training certificate as well.

Rachel believes that proper nutrition is one of the most important things you can do to protect yourself from injury and illness and drive you to a higher level of physical performance. She meets with her clients several times (in person or by email or phone, as needed) in order to develop a comprehensive nutrition plan that works with your body’s unique needs and is specific to your lifestyle, training and racing goals. If desired, she will also work closely with your coach to make any adjustments or modifications according to your training schedule.
