Coach Pete Alfino is the owner and founder of Mile High Multisport, LLC.  He has been involved in the multisport community since 1988 when he completed his first triathlon.
He has experienced firsthand the growth and development of the sport of triathlon over the years. Coach Pete provides each of his clients’ individual attention and creates personalized training plans which meet the needs of his clients. Coach Pete believes anything is possible with a well written plan and the commitment of the athlete.  Pete has experience coaching the first time athlete as well as elite athletes.  His ability to effectively interact with athletes of all ages and abilities separates him from his peers as one of the top coaches in the country.  Read More…

Kathy Alfino, Assistant Coach

Coach Kathy Alfino is the co-owner of Mile High Multisport, LLC.  She has been involved in the multisport community since 1983 and is proud to be a pioneer of the sport.
Kathy has an extensive race profile at all distances and is well recognized and respected in the triathlon community, as an athlete and a coach.  Being a successful athlete does not make you a good coach.  Kathy has successfully worked with clients of all ages and abilities.  She holds a masters degree in Exercise Physiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation and undergraduate degrees in Microbiology and Nursing.   As a working mother of two, a successful athlete and wife, she has the hands on knowledge and expertise to help her clients reach their multisport goals.  Kathy is living proof that women can achieve success on many different levels and still be successful in other aspects of their life.  Read More…

Sydney Cornell, Assistant Coach

Sydney Cornell has been a triathlon coach since 2006.  She has a passion and love for the sport of triathlon which is clearly visible when working with her clients. She is also a Personal Trainer, Spin instructor and Masters Swim Coach.  Coach Sydney comes from a running background and has been running since the age of 12. Sydney is a two time Ironman World Championship Qualifier/Finisher and finished 19th and 14th in the world in her age category.  As a mother of two young children, Coach Sydney is very motivating and inspiring to all who come in contact with her.  She is able to maintain balance between home and sport and advocates balance to all her clients.  She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others and has successfully coached athletes of all ages and abilities from Sprint to Ironman distances.  Coach Sydney is a multiple USA Triathlon All American candidate and accomplished triathlete.  Read More…

Coach Max Spradley resides in Greenwood Village, Colorado and coaches athletes throughout the state of Colorado.
Max  first got involved in endurance sports when he ran cross country and track in high school.  Coach Max has been a USAT certified coach since 2010.   He has successfully coached triathletes and runners of all ages and abilities.  His experiences as an athlete, coach and as an Elite Amateur Triathlete have provided him with a wealth of hands on knowledge to share with his clients.  Read More…

Coach Justin Chester resides in Parker Colorado and is the Coaching Director of the Altitude Multisport club. He is a USAT certified coach and has been involved in sports his entire life having swam in high school and playing golf at the collegiate level. Justin has an extensive multisport background and is a three time Ironman finisher. He began coaching after writing out a plan for a friend competing in a half ironman event. Coach Allen Gilchrest resides in Charlotte N.C. and coaches triathletes throughout the United States.  Allen is a former college swimmer and cross country runner.  He is currently an Elite Amateur Triathlete
.  He is eager to share his passion of the sport with others. He has an extensive coaching background and has coached swimming and cross country at the collegiate level.  Through his coaching experiences, Allen has proven he has the ability to work with athletes of different ages and abilities. Coach Matt resides in Denver, Colorado and has been actively involved in competitive endurance and multisport racing and training for over 10 years. Coach Brian resides in Denver, Colorado and has been actively involved in the competitive endurance community, training, and racing for over 10 years.  Brian grew up as an active soccer and track athlete in Upstate New York where he competed on both the regional and state levels. His multisport career started as a result of being a frustrated injury prone marathoner and seeing the need for greater diversity in his training for both his body and his mind. Read More…

Mike Vetowich, Assistant Coach
Coach Veto resides in Parker, Colorado and has been involved in multisport for five years. Originally from the Detroit area, Veto grew up a runner, participating in track and cross country in high school with a PR of 16:26 for 5000m. Veto ran countless road races in his twenties and early thirties, and he and his family moved to Colorado in 2000. A close friend was a biker, so he convinced Veto to participate in a duathlon. After finishing the opening 5k run among the top ten, he was passed by virtually every participant on the bike, not realizing a poorly tuned mountain bike with knobby tires was sub optimal for road duathlons. He passed many back on the finishing 5k, but, more importantly, he had caught the multisport bug and soon had a road bike in his stable. Read More…

Coach Tracey resides in Highlands Ranch, Co. and has been involved in the multisport community for a long time.Besides coaching triathletes, she is also a Certified Pilates Instructor and NASDN Nutrition Specialist.  Along with coaching athletes individually, she is an Assistant coach with the women’s group at TriBella/Mile High Multisport.  Tracey enjoys connecting with triathletes of all ages and abilities and is eager to share her knowledge with her clients.  Read More…

  Rachel Gerlach, BS, CNT – Nutrition Consultant
Rachel Gerlach is the owner of NutritionWorks, a holistic nutrition therapy practice that specializes in sports performance. A lifelong athlete, Rachel has competed in several triathlons, 11 marathons and countless half marathons, as well as trail racing and cycling events. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse, where she had the opportunity to work with the college football team on sports performance as well as teach yoga and nutrition at the local YMCA. She also played rugby, where she truly learned how to naturally heal her body from injuries. Read More…
